Region 1 LeFlore - Renardo Jackson completed his third season leading the Leflore Rattlers football program before stepping down. The program saw improvement in his tenure - finishing 2-8 this past fall, their best finish since 2018. His overall record with the Rattlers was 3-27. 2025 Season - Michael Perry Vigor - John McKenzie 2025 Season - Renardo Jackson Faith Academy - Erik Speakman 2025 Season - Gaines Sullivan UMS-Wright - Terry Curtis 2025 Season - Sam Williams Elberta - Nathan McDaniel 2025 Season - Joel Williams Region 2 Headland - Reginald Melton 2025 Season - Ethan Holland Catholic Montgomery - Kirk Johnson leaves Catholic with a current 29 game winning streak and a record of 55-2 in five seasons. His teams also won two state titles along the way. Coach Johnson is the winningest coach in school history at Catholic with a record of 55-2. 2025 Season - Jonathan Chandler Charles Henderson - Quinn Hambrite departs Charles Henderson after four seasons with a few ups and downs for the Trojans. His second team finished 12-2 losing to Ramsay in the Super Seven 41-20. His final season ended with an 0-9 record after the Trojans were forced to forfeit five games by the AHSAA. His record with the Trojans stands at 23-31. 2025 Season - Phillip Jones was promoted to the head coaching job at Charles Henderson on December 15th. Jones has been an assistant football coach at the school for 21 years. He served on the staffs of four different head coaches and helped lead two different teams that finished state runner-up. Jones has also served as track and field coach at CHHS. Jones is a Brewton native that earned All-State honors as a running back at W.S. Neal before graduating in 1996. He went on to graduate from Troy University, where he played football. Region 3 Selma - Leon Day leaves Selma after just two seasons and a 6-13 record. His Saints struggled in both seasons on offense and did not manage to capture a playoff spot either year. 2025 Season - Marcus Gardner Demopolis - Lance Tucker 2025 Season - Ricky Woods Region 4 Beauregard - Justin Jones 2025 Season - Shenan Motley Region 6 Jacksonville - Clint Smith 2025 Season - Jeremy Sullivan Springville - Jon Clements leaves Springville with a record of 13-28 in just four seasons. His best team in 2023 showed promise even with a very difficult schedule and finished with a 5-6 record and a spot in the playoffs where they lost to Guntersville in the first round. Clements could not parlay that success into the 2024 football season as the Tigers fell to 3-7. 2025 Season - Chris Metcalf lands his first head coaching job this off season at Springville. Metcalf is a 2008 graduate of Clay-Chalkville and attended UAB and Auburn. His coaching career began at John Carroll as an assistant during college and at Hoover following graduation. In 2021 he joined the staff at Minor under coach Adrian Abrams. Lincoln - Matt Zedaker will not return to Lincoln in 2025. After eight years his teams finished 33-51 and reached the playoffs a total of three times. Since the move back up to 5A in 2020, the Golden Bears never seemed to find their footing and finished last year with an 0-10 record. 2025 Season - Bret Henderson Center Point - George Bates resigned from his position as the head football coach at Center Point in mid December. His seven teams finished with a record of 52-30 including 6-7 in the playoffs. Three of those squads won nine games and all qualified for the playoffs. 2025 Season - DreMail King takes over the football program at Center Point for the upcoming 2025 season. He has been the head coach at Sumter Central, Greensboro and West Blocton with a 20-23 overall record in four years.
